Types of Eczema

Eczema is an itchy rash that develops on the skin. Mild and severe eczema consist of redness and itching lesions where some of the lesions may peel or blister. There are many types of cures for eczema for the skin diseases that eczema is apart of:

Dyshidrotic Eczema – This type of eczema that blisters is more common to occur in women than men. It occurs on the palms, fingers, and soles of feet. Your hands may have itchy, scaly patches of skin that flake constantly or become red cracked and painful.

Atopic Dermatitis – Starts in childhood and can continue into adulthood. It can occur in various places on the body including back, hands, elbows, back of knees and more.

Nummular Eczema – This eczema makes dry skin in the winter months that can cause dry non-itchy round patches. This type of eczema is more likely to affect males than females.

Seborrheic Dermatitis – Red, itchy scaly rashes in various locations on the body. The scalp, sides of the nose, eyelids, eyebrows, and the skin behind the ears and middle of the chest are the most common areas affected.

Contact Dermatitis – This type of eczema skin inflammation occurs as a reaction when the skin comes in contact with certain substances. Some of the irritants, which cause redness, itching or burning, include woolen fabrics, bleach, acidic foods, detergents, tobacco smoke, fumes, paints, industrial chemicals and more. Even some soaps and fragrances that include certain types of alcohol will cause eczema.

Eczema Treatments

There are tons of eczema treatments that the doctor can give you to use as eczema treatments. I didn’t find that any of these products to use as cures for eczema but I will share with you some of the treatments.

  • Corticosteroid creams
  • Antihistamine drugs to stop the itching
  • Prednisone
  • Cyclosporine (Immunosuppressant drug)
  • Ultraviolet light therapy phototherapy
  • topical (cream) medications have been approved by the U.S. FDA but has know been found to cause cancer in some patients Protopic and Elidel.

There are also cures for eczema, eczema home remedies, natural eczema remedies, natural eczema treatments available that you won’t get from a doctor that I actually used to cure my eczema.
